Reducing the Digital Divide
Burst will strive to work with national and local governments, NGOs and private sector institutions to reduce the digital divide in Myanmar through the following activities:
Low-cost, broadband internet in rural communities via the creation of outdoor Wi-Fi mesh networks;
Low-cost, broadband internet access and e-learning solutions to support the objective of universal education in rural f Myanmar;
Low-cost, broadband internet access and e-medical solutions to support the goal of improved healthcare in rural areas of Myanmar;
By way of our intiative, the Burst Academy, we will provide advanced education at no charge to our employees and offer free training to select university students in the areas of English language, civil and electrical engineering and management.
Burst will provide outdoor lighting in rural areas utilizing alternative energy sources as part of our rural Wi-Fi network mesh deployment bringing additional benefits to the communities, in which Burst operates.
Burst will aggresively seek to reduce our environmental footprint of our nationwide network with the integration of alternative energy sources and by using environmentally friendly fuel sources to power our Thilawa facility.
